UPDATE, Sept 22, 08: While Nepal is still recuperating from last month's "Koshi floodings", western Nepal has been hit by massive floodings as well. Over forty people have been reported killed.

"Reports said over tens of thousands people in Kailali and Kanchanpur are still waiting to be rescued as large-scale rescue efforts have not started yet." -Nepalnews.com

We believe whatever little we can collect would help alleviate the issue. Your donation could mean a new roof for a family, a warm meal for someone, a bandaid to seal a wound, or maybe could help bring a smile to a face.

Giving.rumsan.org was set up to help people affected by the 'Koshi floods' in eastern Nepal - the country's worst flooding in five decades. With the support of New York Nepalese Youth Club (NYNYC), we are reaching out to Nepalese around the world and anyone who can and want to help.

There is a tremendous need for donations. Please join us in our effort to collect donations and help flood victims in Nepal. No donation is too small, every dollar helps.

All Donations will be handed over to: Mr. Sanjeev Kafle, Director, Disaster Management Department, Nepal Red Cross Society, sanjeev@nrcs.org
